Our client originally operated as a sole trader running a letting agency.
While the business was trading steadily, it became clear that the sole trader model was not the most efficient or protective structure for his evolving needs. The setup limited tax planning opportunities, exposed him personally to business risks, and made it more difficult to scale or involve others in ownership.
How We Assisted
We identified that incorporating the business into a limited company would offer significant advantages.
Not only would it create opportunities for multi-person shareholding and tax efficiency, but it would also provide greater legal protection for the client and align with his longer-term growth ambitions.
Beyond the initial restructure, we supported the client in developing a strategy to expand operations, which included the creation of a second limited company focused on estate agency services. This enabled the business to diversify and scale with clarity and purpose.
